Diagnosing A Problem With Your Scale:

ON AN AC/DC BATTERY VERSION OF THE SCALE, THE BATTERY DOES NOT SEEM TO HOLD THE CHARGE AS LONG AS IT SHOULD:

-         The 7000 series AC/DC scales use a lead acid, Gell Cell type battery. These batteries are susceptible to premature damage if they go into what is known as a deep discharge state. For this reason it is always a good idea to keep the scales plugged in and charging whenever they are not in use.

-         Be sure that the scales are being charged back up as soon as the “Lo Batt” message comes up on the display. (To prevent a deep discharge from occurring.)

Be sure the power is not being turned off to the receptacles being used to recharge the scales. (This will sometimes happen when leaving at the end of a shift, or over a weekend.)
