Negative Dead Load – This is an
indication that the load cell signal is to far negative, or significantly
more negative then when the scale was last calibrated.

If you check past this error the scale will go to ULULUL. Then
place a weight on the platform. If numbers come up on the scale display,
the error may be corrected by calibrating the scale. (Refer to the
calibration manual for calibration instructions.)

If
re-calibrating the scale does not work. The problem is more then likely a
defective load cell, contact your Pennsylvania Scale distributor for
service.
