Illegal Tare – This message will come
up if the weight reading on the scale is a gross weight negative number.
The scale can not tare off a negative number.
Possible Solutions

Remove all weight from the platform and press the ZERO button to
re-zero the scale. Return the item to be tared off to the platform and
try again.

If
the above solution does not work, contact your Pennsylvania Scale
Distributor for service.
